打字课 Typing lesson

Hi everyone,

today we have a funny sentence for you – one that everyone knows.

According to Wikipedia “The earliest known appearance of the phrase is from The Boston Journal. In an article titled “Current Notes” in the February 10, 1885 morning edition, the phrase is mentioned as a good practice sentence for writing students:

The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog

Why is this sentence known by everyone?  Try to guess. These pictures might help you.-

This sentence was taught to typing students and boy scouts for signalling,because it contains every one of the 26 letters of the alphabet!

Try typing the sentence yourself on your computer. – use the finger pattern suggested in the pictures for the QWERTY keyboard.

“QWERTY” is the name of our keyboard because these are the top left letters.

One of your first tasks when learning English should be to learn how to type properly – search the internet for on line typing classes and improve your speed by using all fingers and thumb.
